Mail Room Clerk/Courier

General Functions: Responsible for accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing USPS and interoffice mail to include physical delivery and collection to and from Lexington Market facilities and the US Post Office. FirstBank utilizes UPS to accom plish delivery of interoffice mail from outlying facilities to and from the LSC mail hub. Incumbent will assist with the processing of the interoffice mail.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pickup and Deliver interoffice mail per two scheduled runs daily â€" Schedule attached
- Pickup, Processing/sorting and physical delivery of USPS mail to Lexington facilities
- Assist with processing and packaging of UPS incoming and outgoing mail to outlying markets
- Return Mail Processing â€" work with branch personnel to determine the appropriate action for returned USPS mail utilizing the applicable core application information.
Education / Experience Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years driving experience.
2+ years of work experience preferably in an office environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in the operation of Pitney Bowes mail equipment a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in operation of PC and other related office equipment
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure
- Readily adopt change
Job Related Requirements:
- Valid State Drivers Licenses
- Good MVR
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to be bonded and insurable under bank’s auto insurance
- Some lifting involved
