Manager, Credits and Incentives

Location: Nashville Tennessee

Description: Ryan, Inc. is at present recruited Manager, Credits and Incentives right now, this position will be placed in Tennessee. More details about this position opportunity please read the description below. The Manager, Credit and Incentives (“Manager”) works with a team to identify tax savings opportunities for clients and to gain an understanding of the client’s needs from a credits! and incentives perspective. This includes researching issues, performing retroactive credit reviews, amending returns and determining prospective benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists Principals and Directors in developing project workplans and scheduling associated project deliverables.

Develops client project scope documents for presentations to state and local economic development agencies and state and local government officials.

Negotiates tax resolutions with state and local tax agencies.

Prepares amended returns and applications for various credits and incentives.

Travels to client locations to gather relevant data from client and processes the information.

Researches credit and incentive programs for client eligibility.

Reviews and reconciles client data downloads and identifies tax issues to research.

Performs detailed calculations of credit and incentive benefits.

! Drafts filings, such as petitions for redetermination, refund! claims, and various other administrative replies.

Responds to client inquiries and requests from state agencies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (Accounting or Finance degree preferred).

Minimum five (5) years of state and local economic and community development agency experience, preferably focused on Tennessee.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
