- Following established procedures, receives and answers incoming phone calls and directs them to the designated person or program via office telephone.
- Places long distance calls for staff and patients.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Communicates in a therapeutic, respectful way with patients at the patients’ level of understanding.
- Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to answer and properly route telephone calls, exchange routine information, and transmit confidential/sensitive information (more than 80% of work time).
- Work requires the ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with a diverse group of people in a wide variety of situations; the ability to comprehend oral and written instructions and transmit oral instructions; and the ability to maintain files and chronological logs. This level of general educational development requires a high school education; one year of relevant experience will be considered as a substitute for possession of a high school diploma.
