PURPOSE AND SCOPE : Support FMCNA’s mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. The Training Specialist has and maintains an expert level of knowledge and understanding of the Health IT Services Group (HITSG) software products, including, but not limited to, Acumen nEHR and Acumen PQRI. The Training Specialist is responsible for all aspects of client training including web-based user training, customizing training to client workflow, creating and updating training materials/courses, managing client expectations, and project communications. This position works closely with all departments at HITSG and is expected to work toward continuously improving all aspects of the Training Department and HITSG. DUTIES / ACTIVITIES : CUSTOMER SERVICE : Responsible for driving the FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards. Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers. Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication. Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve, and follow up regarding customer service issues in a timely manner. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES : Conduct web-based and, as required, on-site training sessions for HITSG clients and internal staff on the Acumen nEHR application. Maintain solid understanding of Acumen nEHR application feature/functionality and its interaction with interfaced applications. Maintain solid understanding of practice workflow to assist client in workflow related decisions. Create a positive and memorable training experience for end users. Participate in workflow meetings and assist Project Manager in the evaluation of clients’ workflows, documents, and procedures for implementation and customized training. Customize training to the client’s workflow, enabling the client to easily relate to Acumen nEHR and thoroughly grasp its full value. Document client feedback, enhancement requests, and learnings that are discovered during training to enable continuous improvement of training processes, training materials, and the Acumen nEHR product Assist in creating and designing web-based courses, documentation, and on-demand recorded sessions for clients and internal training. Assist with onsite go-lives as needed. Participate in development of user manuals, online documentation, and other knowledge bases of Acumen nEHR. Escalate relevant issues related to projects and their implementation to the Implementation Project Manager, and, as needed, to the Lead Training Specialist. Maintain contact with other industry training professionals to stay current of trends and developments. Maintain positive and consistent interaction and relationships with other departments. Perform any other duties required to maintain the effective operations of the department. EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 2 years experience in Training and/or Education with Healthcare software training experience being a plus. Prior experience in physician office setting including knowledge of physician office workflow and processes. Exhibits diplomacy, patience, and attention to detail when conducting training with a wide range of customers including management staff, medical assistants, nurses, mid-level providers (NP & PA), and physicians. Technical proficiency including WebEx, Camtasia, Windows-based programs, the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledgeable about extended medical terminology. Web-based/ASP software experience preferred. Travel up to 50% required. Ability to engage a wide range of audiences. Motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit that can lead others and work productively. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in fast-paced and changing work environment. Available to work non-standard business hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed for training sessions and meetings.
