 SUMMARY 
 Lead the execution of large adoption sales campaigns with the sales representatives. Help to identify and close sales on key opportunities within specific courses throughout the Region. Collaborate with Sales Management and Sales Representatives to develop strategies for winning high value opportunities. Develop and execute strategic campaigns on large business, working directly with customers to create relationships and with internal resources to gain and share product and market knowledge. 
 Essential Duties and responsibilities 
 Lead and manage sales strategies and efforts for large adoptions in assigned region/disciplines/courses across a sales region, working closely with Reps, Sales Managers, LRS and Marketing 
 Coordinate accurate opportunity tracking for both short and long term business, across Region in assigned course areas 
 Strategically deploy and manage tools and people resources to close targeted business throughout each selling season 
 Create and foster an organizational sense of urgency in closing large competitive business opportunities across the assigned Region 
 Obtain, analyze and communicate market, product/solution, and competitive intelligence information in assigned areas 
 Collaborate with Marketing, LRS and other Key Account Executives to obtain in-depth knowledge of assigned course areas 
 Serve as the coordination point among sales, product development group and marketing for dissemination of information; help ensure that sales and customer voices and feedback are considered in sales, product development and marketing strategic plans and decisions 
 (In collaboration with District and Region managers) Develop, train and support Sales Representatives 
 Provide coaching and reinforcement of Consultative Selling Skills framework; serve as a consistent role model for Sales Reps in execution of CSS principles; be a driving force in the utilization of a strategic approach to identifying, qualifying and closing business opportunities 
 Help Sales Reps achieve CSS excellence by working with them in the field 
 Assist in product/solutions training at sales meetings and on an ongoing basis 
 Knowledge, Skills and Experience 
 Required 
 BA or BS degree 
 At least 2 years of direct Sales, Marketing or Editorial experience with a proven track record of success 
 Proven track record of success in closing strategic high value business opportunities 
 Evidence of strong customer focus and the ability to form and build effective customer relationships 
 Strong presentation skills 
 Ability to train others in solutions selling 
 Flexibility and ability to adapt to change 
 Ability to work effectively in a group and reach decisions by consensus 
 Up to 50% overnight travel required 
 Desired 
 Higher Education Publishing experience 
 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 
 40% to 50% overnight travel required. Must be able to travel by both auto and air
