The Loveless Cafe is currently seeking an experienced baker with either work experience or culinary school knowledge and is able to be trained accordingly (first or second shift is negotiable).
Position purpose
Assist the pastry chef in producing all desserts needed for the restaurant, retail and some catering.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Mixing, preparing and baking pies and pastries
- Stocking display and service cases
- Ensuring all baked goods are completed on time and are as fresh as possible
Skills
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Baking
- Good organizational skills
- Must be able to adhere to health and safety regulations
- Ability to meet stri ct deadlines
Preferences
- Reliable and punctual
- Commitment to making every dessert the best quality possible
- Must work well in team environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
Special Position Requirements
- Must be available to work most weekends and holidays
Work Requirements
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and serving staff
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
