Location: (Smithville, TN)
Key Responsibilities
Carry out Windows 7 Migration functions
Technicians will be responsible for backing up user data, installing Windows 7, restoring data, and installing required applications
Migrate a minimum number of PCs per day after being trained on our process (estimated 8 PC migrations per day)
Communicate status and track and report all migration issues and their related resolutions
Track and document asset tags and serial numbers of deployed PCs Replace keyboards and mice
Stage old PCs for disposal
Required Skills and Knowledge
2-3 years of experience in desktop support
Experience with an OS deployment project, Windows 7 preferred
Experienced in Windows XP and Windows 7 deployment process and migration troubleshooting issues
Experience in desktop hardware, operating system, applications and peripheral device deployment, troubleshooting and break-fix
Ideal candidate would have experience with the following:
Windows imaging/deployment tools WAIK, ACT, WDS, DISM
PXE boot/install experience
Active Directory GPOs and basic understanding
Application compatibility projects
Application packaging and/or virtualization
Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Ability to follow documented procedures and work orders
Ability to identify and escalate issues when needed
Ability to work on a team as well as independently
Complete assigned duties quickly and efficiently
Provide good! customer service
Proactively interact with end-users in a friendly and professional manner
Must be able to pass a 7 year criminal background check.
