- Handling personal patient information according to HIPAA regulations
- Customer/Patient relations
- Scheduling and answering phones
- Medical! billing and accounting
- Patient file and record maint! enance
- Document formatting
- Ordering medical supplies
- Other duties as assigned
- Organizational skills are imperative
- Working knowledge of medical terminology as well as knowledge of the workings of health care practices
- Willingness to adapt to new tasks and requests
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Minimum of three (3) years practical work experience or equivalent training
- Physically capable of performing all Medical Administrative Assistant services with reasonable accommodation
