Dean Foods â€" Nashville, TN, a licensed manufacturer of Purity Dairies is accepting resumes for Machine Operator / Milk Plant Relief . We are seeking an individual who's willing to work in all areas of the plant. The ideal candidate is self-starting, flexible, assertive and has the ability to safely perform multiple job functions at one time.
Machine Operator / Milk Plant Relief
To operate the assigned equipment to manufacturing and quality assurance specifications, supplying the filling and packaging equipment with the product as scheduled and in compliance with all governmental regulations.
- Must be able to operate equipment, adhering to all quality assurance, productivity, OSHA and safety standards.
- Must be able to assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning/s! anitizing.
- Must be able to operate equipment per inst! ructions.
- Must adhere to established testing procedures and provide required samples to the lab.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
- Must be able to able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and crouch a majority of the day. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to work in a wet environment with exposure to dust, gas or fumes and cleaning chemicals
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
Effective verbal and writ! ten communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks (including criminal).
