A Heavy Equipment Operator with a valid Class A CDL License is needed who is skilled in the operation of the following types of equip! ment: directional drilling machine , backhoe, skidsteer, and trackhoe.
Work is performed under the guidance of a Foreman Operator assisting in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on many types of projects.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Operator position include:
CDL licensed to drive a Class 3 truck
Operate Directional Drilling equipment
Operate Boom truck and Digger Derek truck
Operate Backhoe and Trackhoe at a high skill level.
Operate Skid Steer at a high skill level.
Operate Riding Trencher and small Rockwell at a high skill level.
Digs trenches by use of hand tools and equipment.
Keep equipment maintained daily.
Help in securing, relocating and organizing materials, small tools, and equipment from and back to appropriate storage areas! .
Keep work area and equipment clean by collecting an! d disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
Keep equipment, tools and material clean and organized.
Assist in pulling wire, lifting, shoveling, raking, hoisting, and positioning materials.
May operate less complicated hand tools and equipment under direct supervision of a foreman or senior operator.
Assists in mounting strapping, placing and burying conduit.
Assists more senior personnel in less complicated electrical installations, connections, and terminations under close supervision.
DOES NOT WORK ON ENERGIZED CIRCUITS OR EQUIPMENT.
Read and interpret maps and instructional manuals.
Performs basic underground conduit installations under general supervision.
Qualifications
MUST have a valid CDL Class A or Class B license
Graduated from High School or obtained GED
Pass a pre-employment drug test and understand that we conduct pre-employment, post-accident and! random drug testing.
Must have experience operating the types of equipment indicated above.
