The Underwriter is responsible for conducting accurate due diligence on mortgage loan files and make credit decisions using FNMA/FHLMC guid! elines.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have working knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC underwriting guidelines including all current updates.
- 1-2 yrs experience of general banking underwriting and/or audit experience in the commercial lending area including familiarity with commercial loan documentation and other consumer lending documents and guidelines.
- Ability to travel extensively up to +/- 50%
- 2-3 years underwriting and/or mortgage due diligence experience and/or previous experience in agency loan delivery.
- High school diploma, college preferred.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude when representing FTN Financial when working on offsite due diligence trips.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and good attitude for various tasks both in the office and outside FTN.
- Ability to maintain professionalism at all times working in close qua! rters with other FTN underwriters as well as outside contracto! rs.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
Hours: 1pm-5pm
