Provide a lead role in technical sales and service support by promoting the Chromalox brand, providing Field Service support, application assistance, and design assistance, quoting service contracts, entering orders and managing projects. Manage a safety program for all field service technicians. Coordinates activities of personnel engaged in field service calls to meet group objectives for monthly performance. Working knowledge of temperature controls transmitters and other instruments, power control devices, hydraulic equipment, and pressure vessel design. Sound troubleshooting skills. Travel to customer sites providing checkout of equipment, start up and trouble shooting of heater and control panel equipment including heating cable. Work with customers, engineering, purchasing, and vendors when replacement parts are required. Develop detailed proposals for standard and custom service contracts. Serve as Project Manager on Cable Install Projects. Coordinate critical target dates from customer to engineering and production. Manage requirements for documentation of drawings, testing, approvals and all submittals. Coordinate Sub contractors involved as required to complete field work required. Understand markets and competition in each market to manage quotation service contracts and installs. Coordinates quotation and order entry activities with sales force, engineering, and plant including samples and drawings for approval. Resolves customer complaints regarding equipment, supplies, and services.
Required Skills
Assist sales and marketing in developing short and long-range strategies for increasing sales, providing better customer service and promoting Chromalox Service business awareness. Assist Sales in meeting profitable sales and growth objectives for department related to the Service business. Assist customers and representatives in trouble-shooting problems with equipment or applications. Provide start-up and installation assistance by phone or as needed at customer job site. Assist Sales by making joint sales calls with local office to promote Service products and secure key projects. Provide training to sales organization for all products in the systems group. Support sales and marketing by providing assistance with literature, training manuals and instruction sheets. Travel up to 80% may be required. May work from home office and be required to attend periodic meetings at a central location.
