The Direct General Internal Audit Department is an independent and objective assurance and consulting function guided by a philosophy of ass! essing and making recommendations to improve the Company's internal control structure. The Direct General Information Technology Audit Intern reports to and assists the Department's lead IT Auditor in project identification, implementation and completion - particularly those where the focus is technology-oriented.
Key Responsiblities:
Working with the lead IT Auditor, perform General and Application-level Controls Reviews, Network Security Assessments and other technology-oriented projects to ensure Company interests are adequately safeguarded.
Document and assess processes and complete data analyses as requested.
Concisely outline conditions and define deficiencies and problem areas identified during projects (i.e., "Issues") and then assist the lead IT Auditor with the development of related/responsive Action Plans.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent! major with hours sufficient to qualify as a Junior before the! internship start date.
3.0 GPA in major field of study (which must be maintained throughout internship).
Strong analysis skills and experience using Excel and Access.
Strong understanding of technology - hardware, network architecture, operating and database systems, etc.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language.
Ability to solve problems and identify practical solutions that add value to the business.
