Job Summary:
The Dietary Aide assists the Cook in all aspects of the daily operation of the facility food service area. Responsible for the preparation of required menu items in a timely manner for patients and retail service. Responsible to carry out clean-as-you go procedures.

Department Position Summary:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for maintaining daily high standards of food and personnel safety, sanitation and ?Clean As You Go? Practices. Responsible for the daily use and care of needed equipment and supplies. Performs a variety of food service duties in the process of portioning, set-up and service of food.
Core Competencies:
Proper use, cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and work areas.
Able to follow and utilize production sheets for necessary products needed.
Knowledgeable in chemical usage and safety guidelines for these products.
Follow HACCP/Food Safety Audit guidelines at all times.
Responsible for timely trash removal/recycling in production and other assigned areas.
Clean as you go practices used daily.
Use of gloves and hair coverings in food handling.
Understands daily and project sanitation set forth by management/supervisors.
Knowledge of quantity conversions from production for substitutions, etc.
Proper product date/labeling procedures are followed daily.
Familiar with flat grill and deep fryers and upkeep of this equipment.
Follows and adheres to safety practices set forth in safety manuals and dept. policies.

Correct portion/sizing control used at all times.
