Location: Memphis Tennessee

They have a wealth of application experience spread across major market segments in North America, Europe and Asia. They have an immediate need for a Process Engineer for the TN location. This is the company's largest facility employing over 500 employees. They are a diversified material science company using complementary technologies to serve common markets. In this role the Process Engineer will be responsible for the process development & optimization of existing extrusion processes and equipment evaluation and specification for the Nylon operation. The Process Engineer will approve raw materials; prepare formulation documentation and blending guidelines and sampling frequencies when necessary. The ability to work in and support in ISO 9002 environment is needed. They will apply engineering principles to optimize reliability of equipment.

Compounding with Twin Screw extruders and on the floor process engineering experience is ideal. Skills: One to three years with polymer compounding with specific experience using single and twin screw extruders and continuous mixers.Experience with compounding engineered thermoplastics is ideal.Knowledge of AALA certificationKnowledge in engineered thermoplastics, polymer blends, and polymer compounding. Specific knowledge of nylon 6 and 66, PET, and PBT preferred.Education: Bachelors Degree in Polymer Engineering. Polymer Science, chemistry or related discipline. Advanced degree desired.
