JOB SUMMARY
As part of an effort to build more inclusive and child-safe technologies, Productive Playhouse is seeking teenagers 13-17 years of age from cultures and racial heritages across the world to help with a research study we are conducting. Teens, with their parent or guardian’s permission, will record a small set of video selfies, to help train technology to include all cultures equally, and to create children’s online safeguards. The goal is to assure no culture is underrepresented and that children’s online safety is protected as emerging tech is developed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project participants will use a provided app to take a series of video selfies under various conditions, such as: lighting, wearing a prop (hats, sunglasses, headbands, etc.), and movement. The time required to complete this study should take no more than two hours. The data collected will only be used for the purpose of this study. Parental/guardian consent is required, and we will verify parent/guardian and teen identification, during the selection process.
