A Laundry Aide is responsible for laundering our residents’ personal clothing as well as the facility’s linens. He/she is also responsible for keeping an adequate supply of clean linens available for resident use.
Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Collect soiled linen and personal items from residents’ rooms.
- Sort and rinse soiled laundry and load washers.
- Fold all linens and personal items.
- Operate washing machines and dryers.
- Occasional ironing
- Deliver personal clothing to residents’ rooms and place in proper closet and dresser.
- Deliver clean linen to linen closets in various wings. Keep closets clean and neat.
- Clean dryer vents.
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Have the ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc. up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to read and follow directions.
- Must have the ability to operate commercial washers and dryers
