Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. Purpose:
To perform the role of lead and execute Receiving Clerk and Driver tasks. Provide direct support to
Receiving Supervisor. Process goods in a timely manner while maintaining count accuracy, product
identification and traceability. Resolving constraints in real-time, improving processes with safety, quality, and productivity in mind. Escalate issues to Receiving Management when necessary.
Job Duties:
- Dispatcher for Receiving Dept. Drivers: Assist Supervisor with coordinating routes for Memo Shipper (delivering material for production) and picking up for production and non-production requests.
- Ensure jobs/requests are distributed, prioritized, and completed in a timely manner. Maintain logs for Proof of Delivery (POD) status.
- Provide customer service to Supply Chain personnel and Receiving Inspectors.
- Lead dock activities, offloading product, and signing proof of delivery for delivered goods.
- Identify and note any damage to packaging upon delivery.
- Cross-references supplier's packing slip with material ID label or markings and verify quantity by hand count or weight count and accurately record data.
- Keep Supply Chain informed when there is a discrepancy with a goods receipt.
- Search PO in ERP system (SAP) to identify if material is non-production or production and place material in designated staging area.
- Maintain proper flow of items for Property Control and ESD workstation.Point of Contact for Export Compliance communication of carrier deliveries needed to be offloaded in a timely manner to avoid extra charges.
- Point of Contact for Internal and External Process Audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be able to speak/ read / write English
- Basic math; computer and communication skills
- Experience with ERP system (SAP) is preferred
- Attendance and punctuality are an essential job duty
- Must be a team player and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Can-do attitude
- 3 years warehouse work experience
- 5 years forklift experience
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 35Ibs
- Remote work option not allowed for this position
