Manager, Financial Analysis
for
its Franklin, TN, headquartersâ
Medical Staff Development
team.
Summary:
Manages
the implementation of data retrieval / contract modeling / financial analysis
support to Physician Practice Services objectives and analysis for Vice
President and Regional Directors of Managed Care and Division Practice
Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include
the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
Retrieve
reimbursement data from CHS Practice Management systems
Develop
contract models and perform financial analysis comparing current to
proposed reimbursement to determine financial impact
Perform
financial analysis of provider productivity and other metric rates and
compare them to nati! onal and regional benchmarks by specialty
Perform
analysis of potential physician practice acquisitions according to
guidelines established by Acquisition Department
Build
financial models to analyze the impact of potential changes to payer
contracts
Complete
special projects/reports as needed
Duties outside the scope of a financial analyst that are in line
with data/systems/analytics engineer:
Program
(create) and maintain tools for ETL (extracting, transforming and loading
data) utilizing various integrated developer environments (IDEs) and
application programming interfaces (APIs). The successful candidate for
this position will be required to utilize advance excel macro programming
skills for performing approximately 50% of the responsibilities of the
position.
Develop
and maintain data warehouse/marts.
Leverage
programming to
automate
report creation and delivery.
Non computer science ! related:
Review
market submissions of data and communicate directly with markets to obtain
accurate information while explaining meaning behind various metrics.
Be
administrator and primary support contact for the enterprise BI solution
(Anodyne Analytics) and the accompanying Executive and Physician
Dashboards.
Qualifications
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Database software. Expert level Excel proficiency in VBA programming required.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required. MBA/CPA preferred.
Five (5) to ten (10) yearsâ work experience in finance or healthcare reimbursement preferred
Prior experience in physician practice management, hospital or health plan financial analysis, or equivalent experience preferred
Knows/has modeled/worked with health plan/hospital and physician managed care commercial and Medicare reimbursement methodologies and terminology
Five years of advanced VBA programming experience strongly preferred
