IT Project Manager
The ITPM will work closely with the business units and Product Managers to understand business goals and solution needs. The Project Manager will in! terpret the business unit’s requests and collaboratively develop vision, strategy, approach, and project plan as well as, actively participate in business requirements definition meetings. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing scope, budget, schedule, risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, approach, requirements, and deliverables as necessary for each project assignment.
Develop and Implement detailed project plans for operational execution.
Overall project administration, including planning, directing and controlling resources in complex work-scope projects.
Estimate budgets and track project cost.
Ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget; Monitors all change requests and assesses impact to program delivery
Facilitate resolution of issues; escalate issues to project steering committee as necessary.
Prepare project status reports.
Identify and schedule project deliverables! , milestones, and required tasks.
Develop and maintai! n project documentation.
Ensure project deliverables are consistent with Asurion technical architecture and standards.
Define and implement continuous project risk analysis and required corrective actions.
Support user acceptance testing and training.
Lead hand-over process to operations and production personnel.
Ensures action items and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Participants with MTS CRM business units in meetings and conference calls to discuss program change or request action items.
Manage customer expectations; meet or exceed their expectations through successfully implementing technical changes to meet their needs.
Maintains and updates department process documentation
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required Experience:
Bachelor degree and 5+ years’ experience managing projects.
Solid project management skills with ability to multi-task ! and manage projects in a matrix organization.
Superior problem solving, communication and negotiation skills including effective leadership, planning and motivational capabilities.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all members of the project team.
Proficiency in project management tools and procedures; strong people management and conflict resolution sills.
Strong teamwork and problem solving skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that established rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
Ability to push hard and affect positive change in a fast pace, high standards environment while maintaining a positive approach with peers and subordinates.
Proficient with CA Clarity, MS Project, MS-Excel, MS-Word, & MS-Power-Point suite.
