GENERAL SUMMARY
We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented people to join Coventry! The Data Support Specialist - Provider Systems is a key member of our team, keeping our provider information accurate and up-to-date. This is an exciting time to work in the Health Care industry! The primary responsibility for the Data Support Specialist - Provider Systems is to update health care provider information and demographics in our internal computer systems. This department maintains the data in our network of over 700,000 providers. You will process provider requests, ensuring that their information is current and accurate according to policy and procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes and maintains provider updates and data corrections in accordance with company policies and procedures in a timely manner that meets or exceeds productivity and quality goals.!
  • Researches provider information in response to updat! e requests/inquiries.
  • Assesses, investigates, and resolves data discrepancies to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Interfaces with providers by telephone and/or correspondence to resolve discrepancies and verify group information.
  • Processes and maintains records by ensuring records are complete, entering the information into the systems, and resolving basic/moderately complicated corrections.
  • Takes responsibility for own self-development. Recommends areas where cross-training is needed. Assists team with implementing a training plan.
  • Promotes positive team environment. Seeks out ways to continuously improve teaming.
  • Understands the team's performance against measured service operation goals. Accepts ownership for individual and team results. Identifies and initiates process improvements.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Prev! ious (1-2 years) in claims processing, enrollment, and/or customer service.
  • Ability to maintain production levels and quality goals.
  • Knowledge of health care products, medical terminology, diagnosis and procedure coding, and coordination of benefits is helpful.
  • Effective keyboarding skills and basic working knowledge of MS Office applications strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates responsiveness and ability to maintain production levels and quality goals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Required to pass a battery of job-related tests administered prior to employment.
