Primary Responsibilities:
This individual will be responsible for installing, provisioning, training and troubleshooting Avaya IPPBX phone equipment, Modular Mes! saging (voice mail), CMS, Call Accounting systems and various ! adjuncts in a multiple building environment.
Duties and Function (Include but are not limited to the following):
- Provision, install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain telecommunications equipment.
- Oversees and/or responsible for all moves, adds, and changes (MAC) activity.
- Train end users on use of telephony functions and features and provide voice mail instructions.
- Perform system maintenance and backups on all related voice equipment.
- Responsible for accurate inventory of all voice circuits, equipment and maintaining up-to-date documentation.
- Manage and document campus environment cable plant.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Provide out of hours support as needed.
- Project a professional image
- Experience provisioning Avaya Communication Manager and Modular Messaging
- Able to function effectively under demanding condi! tions to meet deadlines
- Microsoft Suite of Tools
- Work with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
- Must have a minimum of 5 years technical experience in the telecom industry
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a dependable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
