REPORTS TO: Chief Academic Officer DEPARTMENT NAME: Instructional Support This role is responsible for the following: *Adm! inistering the programs of Exceptional Education, English Learners, Guidance, and Advanced Academics. *Leading, directing and supervising these assigned departments and staff. *Working with the Chief Academic Officer to develop and align assigned programs and departments. *Supporting the vision for high outcomes expectations in alignment with the District's mission and strategic plan. Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation and administration of budget accounts for assigned departments. *Directing staff with planning and implementation of programs that enhance learning. *Pursuing continuous development and improvement of services related to instructional support. *Providing leadership, assigning duties to, and evaluating performance of staff. *Providing necessary resources to assist staff members. *Collaborating with stakeholders to promote services that enhance the learning outcomes for students with disabilities and English learners. *Formulating an! d encouraging innovative programs that improve instruction in ! the areas of advanced academics and student talent development. *Continually evaluating instructional programs to improve teaching practices for students with disabilities, English learners, and students who are gifted and/or talented. *Overseeing compliance with State and Federal mandates. Additional Responsibilities: *Synthesizing or integrating analysis of data or information to discover facts or develop knowledge or interpretations; modifying policies, procedures, or methodologies based on findings. *Providing assistance to people to achieve task completion. *This role also requires responsibility for achieving major economies or preventing major losses through interpreting policy as legal counsel. *Reading professional publications; composing complex reports and manuals; speaking formally to groups outside the organization. *Making decisions with serious impact - affecting most units in organization, and may affect citizens.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in education or related field. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Current Teacher Administrator license. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of seven years applicable experience in education administration or related field. More specific degree, certification, and experience requirements will be included in the position announcement as vacancies occur.
