JOB SUMMARY

Position is a support role requiring! more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures. The primary responsibilities of this position involve the ongoing customer support of the Camera Business customer base. The position is critical in aiding the customer with successful operation of the mobile and fixed ALPR systems. Technical support will include telephone support, remote system access, and direct field access.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Contributions (85%)

a. Provide remote troubleshooting of customer hardware and software issues to determine corrective action.

b. Provide remote assistance in the installation and configuration of software and hardware products.

c. Participate in pre-release testing of new software products during the alpha/beta test phase of the product development cycles as designed.

2. Interactions (15%)

a. Maintain ownership of each customer event from first communication to resolut! ion.

b. Utilize SFC to log all customer support activ! ities.

The job also requires performing other duties as assigned. Percentages of time spent on job duties are estimates and may vary for each job.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a high degree of competency working with a PC. Detailed knowledge/experience of the install/uninstall process for PC software in Windows environment, through understanding working with electronic hardware, and experience with supporting software related issues in a Windows environment.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a minimum of four years combination of education and experience in a customer/technical support position.
