Sr. Maintenance Manager
for its Birmingham, Alabama
Corporate Office Services
team.
Summary:
Maintenance of buildings owned or leased by CHS. Manages and facilitates work at CHS buildings done by contractors and vendors. Provide coverage for the CHS afterhours on-call line (27/7/365).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following.
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of! the maintenance department
- Assigns work responsibili! ties, prepares schedules, and ensures that all shifts are covered
- Electrical, plumbing and HVAC work
- Daily walk through for lighting inspection
- Generator maintenance and testing at CHS building(s)
- Maintenance of the Data Center
- META check PM System
- Daily walk through of the grounds at CHS building(s) for inspection of outside lighting and removal of trash
- Other duties may be assigned by Director as needed
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma with some Trade School or at least 4 years’ experience in a trade
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Certified in one of the following: Electric, Plumbing, HVAC
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual needs to be able to troubleshoot elec! trical, plumbing and HVAC problems. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Database software.
Physical
Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Ability to see and hear clearly with or without the use of a corrective device
- Ability to kneel, bend, twist, push and pull occasionally to complete tasks
- Ability to stand and walk distances for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to reach over head, climb ! stairs and ladders often in order to complete tasks
