Genesis10 is currently seeking an Informatica Administrator to join our financial client’s permanent team in a full-time role based in Nashville, TN.!
Description:
As an Informatica Administrator, the team member’s responsibilities will include:
Manage users/groups and repository security in Informatica
Create and manage Informatica subject area folder
Create source and Client shared definitions
Establish shared folder structure for sources, targets, reusable transformations
Define and create the necessary database and other connections needed for development
Identify templates that are available for use
Install Informatica 8.x, 9.x client/server on Windows/UNIX platforms
Install Informatica patch on Windows/UNIX platforms
Troubleshoot tool related problems and tune for performance
Support and mentor developers on Informatica best practices for data movement, metadata management, data quality and other data management activities
Perform code deployment of UNIX/Informatica components to production/QA en! vironment
Participate in ETL/Informatica Design and C! ode reviews
Provide training and mentoring on Informatica functionality and components
Skills:
2 - 3 years of Informatica PowerCenter, PowerExchange and Data Quality Admin
Experience on version 8.x and up
Knowledge on pmcmd, infasetup and other Powercenter utilities
Relational Database experience, Oracle 10g or greater (at least 3 years), strong SQL skills
Data Warehouse experience (5 years or more)
3 -5 years Informatica development experience a plus
UNIX Shell Scripting/System Administration experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Leadership skills, with ability to drive projects to on-time completion without sacrificing quality
Work well with all levels of staff and across the organization
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Informatica Administration Certification is a plus
Additional Information:
This! role could also work from the client’s location in Birmingham, AL
