Human Resources Coordinator

Description: YMCA of Middle Tennessee is at present looking to employ Human Resources Coordinator right now, this position will be placed in Tennessee. Summary Consistent with the Christian Mission and Vision o! f the YMCA of Middle Tennessee and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, under the direction of the Center Executive Director and the Regional Human Resources Director, the HRC is responsible for providing direct human resource support to Center employees while maintaining confidentiality of all employee information. The HRC is responsible for all other administrative processes as determined by the Center.
Required Skills
Education / Experience Required:
 Minimum 18 years of age
 Four-year college degree or minimum five years work experience in an office management and/or accounting role is required; human resource experience preferred.
Certifications Required:
ÂPre-hire: complete YMCA of Middle TN application for employment, new hire packet and Praesidium Child Abuse Detection / Prevention training/BBP Training
ÂUpon hire: CEO parts 1 and 2; payroll training
ÂWithin 30 days ! of hire: Unity training
Responsibilities
! Human Resource Functions:
Accurately prepare and process Center's payroll maintaining all required documentation. Monitor labor reports for accuracy.
Approve new hire paperwork to ensure all forms are complete. Maintain all employee and employment records accurately and in compliance with approved guidelines.
Ensure required trainings are current; track participant training and provide reports as needed.
Attend HRC cabinet meetings and trainings.
Administrative Functions:
Prepare and process purchase orders, check requests and similar documents related to Center's operation. Analyze financial records, statements, payroll, etc.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the Center's administrative processes and recommend improvements.
Handle all money received by the Center, process accounting records and accounts payable, prepare cash reports, petty cash, checking reconciliation and returned checks.
Ma! intain office equipment including copiersand fax machines.
Perform assigned Manager on Duty and other assigned responsibilities as part of the center's leadership team.
Assist with the Annual Giving Campaign as needed.
