TerraSmart is seeking a highly energetic, career-oriented EQUIPMENT OPERATOR who has direct experience in operating heavy equipment. Great opportunity to enter an emerging market and join a rapidly emerging company in the SOLAR INDUSTRY!
Job Description:
- Operate propriety installation machines to drive ground screws, perform repairs and maintenance on trucks, excavators, fork lifts and light duty equipment to ensure proper use and safety of all equipment.
- Ensure performance goals and deadlines are met to conform to the project schedule.
- Ensure proper operation of the installation machines while confirming to all safety standards set forth by company and OSHA.
- Diagnose mechanical problems with installation machines and perform minor engine repairs and hydraulic repairs.
- Perform or oversee routine vehicle maintenance on company trucks.
- Complete paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage and account for applied times.
- Track repairs by vendors, maintain shop supplies, and housekeeping of shop and tools.
- Strictly follow company policies and processes to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Basic computer skills needed to input work orders and other required information for project reporting.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
- Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D certification and 1 year of related maintenance and repair or 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair. Preferred qualification mechanical or trade school certificate.
- Lift, carry and push/pull at least 100 pounds on a regular basis.
- Valid driver license.
- A CDL license is highly desirable.
- Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time.
- Strong work ethic.
- Strong business ethics.
- Good customer relation skills.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and construction practices
- Basic mathematical skills.
