Responsible to the Executive Assistant to the President for University Relations for developing, implementing, evaluating and refining a comprehensive marketing communications initiative for ETSU.This position will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the President for University Relations and other university personnel to contribute to the attainment of various university priorities, including, but not limited to: branding, enrollment, relationship-building, and fund raising.
This individual will provide leadership for the implementation of a strategic marketing and advertising plan; research strategies in higher education marketing; and manage and support the planning, development and implementation of initiatives that promote strategic marketing and advertising for ETSU.
This position also will be responsible for the planning and execution of special events hosted by the ETSU Office of the President and the ETSU Office of University Relations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
With some experience in marketing or public relations
Experience with social media
Proficient editing skills
Experience in coordinating special events
Experience in a higher education setting preferred
