The Veterinary Health Center in Wentzville, Missouri brings unique diagnostic and therapeutic services to the St. Louis area, improving accessibility to the resources of the College of Veterinary Medicine for veterinarians and their clients. The clinic brings diagnostic and treatment options for dogs and cats with certain cancers to a more convenient location for the region.

This position plays a critical role for the clinic, serving as the first face our clients meet as well as the central hub for the clinic and its operations. The incumbent will serve as front desk reception as well as handle transactions and other administrative and customer-related duties.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provide outstanding, professional customer service at the clinic front desk. This includes answering and routing phone calls, managing in-person foot traffic, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and verifying information within our medical records system.
  • Work closely with the veterinarians, technicians, and other staff to ensure adherence to practice processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Accurately enter data and upkeep records within electronic medical record and clinic administration systems, as well as handle cash and other financial transactions.
  • Maintain a professional and inviting reception space and environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary


Hiring Range: At or around $16.25 per hour, based on education and previous experience.
GGS Grade: 3A
University Title: Patient Service Representative

Shift


Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications


High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired ad well as 6 months of experience in frontline customer service and guest relations.

Additionally:

  • Previous experience providing in-person, client-focused, customer service at in a clinic, practice, or professional office setting is preferred.
  • Previous experience within a medical or veterinary setting and familiarity with medical or veterinary terminology and practice is highly valuable, but not required.
