PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Validation Checklist(s).
Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives as listed on the
Performance Management Plan (PMP).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in the kitchen, cafeteria, patient care hallways, and trash disposal area.
Subject to burns and cuts.
Exposure to hazards of steam and heat.
Exposure to heat, wetness, and odors in kitchen and patient care areas.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
MSDS and protective e! quipment are readily available.
Potential exposure to! body fluids.
Uses a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment including grinders, slicer, mixers, and blenders. Subject to stress due to departmental deadlines that occur daily.
During low census, may be required to leave early or rotate days off.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking required. Lifts/carries/pushes boxes, supplies or equipment up to 50 pounds
: required to obtain assistance for lifting more than 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity and mobility needed for frequent reaching, stooping and bending. Able to reach above shoulders without difficulty and perform several tasks simultaneously.
Heavy cleaning, mopping, sweeping.
Required to bend/stoop, push/pull, squat, climb, and kneel during daily duties.
REPORTS TO
Supervisor of Food & Nutrition Services or Top of the Town (TOTT), Director of Food and Nutritional Services
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in a food service setting preferred.
