As a member of the store leadership team, the primary objectives of this position are to increase sales, control expenses and ! sell distressed product by assisting the store manager with merchandising, visual presentation and signage. Will assist in other areas as needed, such as overseeing specific departments. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Years of Related Professional Experience: 2-5. 4-year college degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Retail merchandising experience required, apparel experience preferred. Skills: Solid technical experience with ability to operate store computer and systemsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with strong interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving and decision making skills.Strong merchandising skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality Deliver exceptional customer serviceStrong leadership ability.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing in-store presentation, insuring a fully stocked store with proper signage and superior ! visual presentation. Assist with warehouse paperwork and probl! em shipments. Provide training for merchandise and presentation. Enter and lead price change process. Lead best practices program and assure prompt execution of markdowns. Provide floor leadership during hours of operation as well as opening and closing the store on assigned days. Will be responsible for specific area of the store, either mens, misses, or intimates/youth. Execute best practices. Assist management team in warehouse with prompt and accurate receipt of goods and door to floor presentation. Insure proper execution on store signage package Research negative inventory and key inventory adjustments Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
