The Software Test Engineer will play a critical role in our expan! ding product development organization. The ideal candidate will be someone who is creative, focused and organized. We believe that great testers are good listeners, detailed oriented, naturally analytical, and critical thinkers. Coding experience, with the technologies we use to build our software, is key. As we move our software to the Cloud, automation will be critically important.
As a Software Test Engineer, you will help forge the direction of rapid application development and deployment of our cloud based services. You will be responsible for building large scale test automation to verify and break product code, creating tools for supporting development efforts, and measuring and reporting the quality of the system. You should be comfortable in diving into production source code to find vulnerabilities through the use of code coverage, profilers, debuggers, etc! . This position will work as part of a team with developers an! d provide feedback and reporting on project status. You will be expected to architect innovative testing solutions, methodologies, and practices that will impact the way we assess quality at Mimeo. The ability to work in a fast paced atmosphere, and be flexible to work on multiple projects simultaneously, is critical to success.
Skills and Experience:
A passion for testing and quality with proven experience that transcends terms like white-box, black-box, model-based, combinatorial, performance, and stress testing
Experience executing manual and automated functional and regression testing using industry standard tools and frameworks
Experience with testing tools like Selenium, Watin/Watir, Fitnesse, SpecFlow a plus
Understanding of test frameworks like nUnit, xUnit, MSTest
Experience working as part of a team with other testers, developers and product managers to qualify and reproduce issues
Proficiency in 1 o! r more modern programming languages such as C#, Java, C, C++
At least 3 years’ experience in a software development environment utilizing the latest Microsoft Windows operating systems and technologies, preferably including Microsoft .NET framework, C#
Microsoft SQL Server expertise
Amazon EC2 and/or Microsoft Azure platform experience a significant plus
Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Lean/Agile development processes
A BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or comparable experience
