Reporting to the Director of Finance Global Primary Products-US, this position provides an ideal opportunity for a finance professional who desires career growth. We are a values-based company that offers significant advancemen! t opportunity. We are seeking a strong financial analyst to serve as a member of our Global Primary Products (GPP) Team. The position provides financial reporting and analysis as well as decision support for GPPâs United States Primary Product business unit (GPP-US). The incumbent needs to be comfortable analyzing complex problems and working with all levels of the organization on various projects. The primary purpose of the position is to provide expertise and analysis to support GPP initiatives, including but not limited to:
Provide expert services in reporting and analysis, business planning, and development of financial strategies to GPP-US.
Prepare and review monthly reporting and analysis of actual and forecast data while working with the plant locations to understand deviations prior to reporting to GPP-US Lead Team.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual bridges, and understand significant variances for reporting to GPP management, and t! he Financial, Planning, and Analysis (FP&A) group for the corp! oration.
Prepare presentations for executive review.
Monitor actual vs. plan costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction, cash generation, etc.
Review and quantify the impacts of external market factors on the businesses financials.
Provide guidance and assist with target setting and benchmarking activities for the plants.
Perform special project work as required to address a myriad of complex, non-standard analysis to support BU decisions.
Develop a network of contacts across GPP-US and GPP functions to facilitate an efficient data gathering process including within the Operating Plants, Sales, Procurement, Materials Management, and Compliance functions.
Prepare, participate and lead discussions with GPP-US Lead Team on assigned project topics.
Takes initiative to make process improvements and standardize approach across GPP-US
Coordinate approach and analysis for GPP-US and/or Corpora! te Initiatives. Examples include Annual Operating Plan, forecast analysis, strategy reviews, etc.
Assist in the development and cross training of the new analysts.
Coordinate BU efforts to achieve benchmark performance.
Help identify opportunities for cost reduction through standardization of processes and consolidation of functions.
Provide support to staff functions (HR, EHS, OPEX) requesting financial data for analysis.
