Sales Lead Job Description Summary: The Sales Lead primary function is to assist the store management team in the overall operation and performance of the store, which includes sales, merchandising, operations, supervision, training and development, loss prevention, expense control and adherence to all company guidelines and procedures to ensure efficient daily operations. As a Sales Lead, you'll function as a lead member of the Sales Associate team, encouraging cross-team collaboration and setting the standard for performance. In this multi-dimensional role, you'll provide customer sales assistance alongside the Sales Associate but also act as "Manager on Duty' when necessary.
Must Be Able To: Lift a minimum of 50lbs. Climb ladders Constant bending & standing for long periods of time Move boxes, supplies, shelving and merchandise displays Work a sc! hedule that may include weekend and evenings Work in a fast pa! ce working environment Cleaning of livestock habitats Enjoy working with the public Have a polite, helpful manner. Be confident and assertive Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service. Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements Fish and animal care and feeding Maintain cleanliness of all animal cages and fish tanks Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock Aid customers in locating merchandise The ideal candidates will posses: Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication Demonstrates World Class Service, by maintaining a strong customer focused culture Capacity for understanding inter-team conflicts and escalating when necessary Availability for flexible sch! eduling Ability to work efficiently, effectively and independently with minimal supervision Ability to take initiative and handle various tasks simultaneously Ability to meet specified deadlines for multiple, concurrent priorities Accountable and trustworthy Retail supervisory experience preferredGeneral Job Duties will include: Lead by example, modeling outstanding customer service skills and encouraging team member development.
